Normal Delivery
Skilled, compassionate support for natural vaginal birth — guiding you through every stage of labour with safety, dignity and encouragement.
Your Body Knows How to Birth
Normal (vaginal) delivery is the physiological process of giving birth — and for the majority of low-risk pregnancies, it remains the safest, most beneficial mode of delivery for both mother and baby. Dr. Abha advocates for natural birth while being fully prepared for any complication.
With 5,000+ deliveries and a 99% safety record, Dr. Abha creates a calm, encouraging environment where you feel supported and in control throughout every stage of labour.
Understanding the Labour Journey
First Stage — Dilation
Latent phase: Irregular contractions, cervix dilates to 4 cm. Active phase: Regular contractions every 3–4 min, cervix dilates from 4–10 cm. Duration: 8–20 hours in first labour.
Second Stage — Pushing
From full dilation (10 cm) to delivery of the baby. Bearing-down efforts with each contraction. Duration: 30 minutes to 2 hours. Dr. Abha guides every push to protect the perineum.
Third Stage — Placenta
Delivery of the placenta, usually within 15–30 minutes. Active management with oxytocin reduces postpartum haemorrhage risk. Cord cutting and skin-to-skin contact are promoted.
