Cervical Screening
Early detection saves lives. Pap smear, HPV testing and colposcopy to identify abnormalities before they become cervical cancer.
Detect It Before It Develops
Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable. The vast majority of cases are caused by persistent infection with high-risk strains of HPV. Regular cervical screening detects pre-cancerous cell changes — called CIN (Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia) — years before they progress, when treatment is simple and outcomes are excellent.
Dr. Abha provides a comfortable, dignified screening experience with rapid results and clear follow-up pathways for all findings.
Our Screening Services
Pap Smear (Cytology)
A gentle swab of cervical cells examined under a microscope for abnormalities. Recommended every 3 years from age 21–65 (or from first sexual activity).
HPV Co-testing
Combined HPV DNA testing with cytology provides the highest detection accuracy. Recommended for women 30+ — extending screening intervals to 5 years if both are negative.
Colposcopy
A magnified examination of the cervix using a colposcope and acetic acid staining — recommended when a Pap smear or HPV test returns an abnormal result for closer assessment.
Cervical Biopsy
A small tissue sample taken during colposcopy for histological confirmation of abnormal cells — essential for accurate grading and treatment planning.
LEEP / CKC
Loop Excision or Cone Biopsy to remove pre-cancerous tissue when CIN grade 2 or 3 is confirmed — an outpatient procedure with excellent success rates.
